Robbery

And, if they were as is often supposed, associates of Barrabbas: seditionists, rabblerousers. Or to use the term for their ilk in Israel at the time— ”Zealots.”

Some called them “Daggermen”. Assassins.

Bad guys

In trouble with everybody

Especially with the Romans whose occupation of Israel they are committed to overthrow.

INTRODUCTION

Proverbs 19:17 TEV—“When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the Lord, and the Lord will pay you back.”
